Jay-Z’s Staff Roc sues Kansas Metropolis Police over abuse allegation information
Jay-Z‘s Staff Roc has filed a lawsuit in opposition to the Kansas Metropolis Police over their alleged failing in producing information regarding police corruption and abuse.
Per Rolling Stone, Staff Roc – a social justice organisation overseen by the rapper’s firm Roc Nation – filed the lawsuit on Tuesday (November 19) with the non-profit organisation Midwest Innocence Challenge (MIP) in opposition to each Kansas Metropolis and its police division.
It pertains to a request each events filed in November 2023 to view paperwork from each the police division and public information from native authorities over allegations of a “longstanding” and “alarming” sample of corruption and misconduct dedicated by its policemen.

The lawsuit options claims by Staff ROC that police and metropolis officers used “improper and unsubstantiated boilerplate objections” to struggle the method and “gouged” the plaintiffs in Staff ROC and MIP by charging greater than US$2,200 for allegedly non-responsive paperwork, which apparently embody area manuals and coaching supplies.

In an announcement, Staff ROC managing director Dania Diaz says: “We’ve got to set a precedent that transparency and accountability are non-negotiable.”
“For the previous 12 months, we’ve been pushing for paperwork from the federal government and have been constantly met with non-compliance. It’s unacceptable – gaining access to these supplies is crucial to exposing the corruption, reforming native insurance policies, and serving to the local people heal.”
