Shaq Announces First-Ever Curated Music Festival: See the Lineup

NBA Hall of Famer, angel investor and headlining DJ Shaquille O’Neal can now add another title to his résumé: music festival organizer.
Shaq, fans of whom affectionately call DJ Diesel, recently revealed his plans to throw his own music festival in 2023 and flung the electronic music community into a fever pitch. He’s now formally announced “Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival.”
Said to be the biggest bass music festival in Texas, the one-day event is scheduled for Saturday, September 16th at the scenic Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, just outside of Dallas. The Big Shaqtus has curated the lineup himself, tapping Alison Wonderland, Crankdat, Soltan, Kai Wachi, Sullivan King and more heavy-hitters for the fest’s inaugural edition.
Currently gearing up for the release of his debut album, Diesel is an outspoken advocate of electronic music and rave culture. The charismatic DJ and producer, who saved up $200 at the age of $14 to buy his first set of turntables at a local pawn shop, has performed at Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest and EDC—among a slew of other major festivals—and secured a residency at The Wynn in Las Vegas.
“I have always dreamed of my own music festival… using my platform to showcase some of my favorite artists (big or small) that go hard,” Diesel said in a statement. “Shaq’s Bass All Stars is my baby and this festival is our biggest one to date… prepare for the loudest and biggest bass show to ever hit Texas!”
Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets to “Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival” on Friday, June 23rd at 10am CST. The general sale will begin immediately after the pre-sale at 12pm. For more information, head here.
